About the position
The Part-Time Teller position at Northwest is a customer-facing role that plays a crucial part in the retail network team. Tellers are responsible for providing excellent customer service, processing transactions, resolving issues, and identifying financial needs for referrals. This role requires effective communication and teamwork to enhance customer experiences and achieve financial wellness goals.
Responsibilities
- Achieve financial wellness activity goals by identifying referral opportunities and contributing to overall sales performance.
- Assist customers and visitors with questions and problem resolution, proactively engaging to understand their needs.
- Balance teller drawer daily and participate in office meetings and dual control balancing of vault and ATM.
- Deliver exceptional customer experience in person, over the phone, and through email communications.
- Complete educational training and self-educate using bank-designed programs and applications.
- Adhere to all security and dual control processes and participate in branch opening and closing tasks as needed.
- Follow compliance, risk, and operational procedures to protect the bank from unnecessary risk.
- Work as a team with co-workers to complete daily tasks and support management with special requests.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Less than 1 year of customer service experience, cash handling experience, or banking/retail experience.
- Ability to establish effective working relationships among team members and participate in problem-solving.
- Ability to present and express ideas clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
- Ability to actively listen and facilitate the open exchange of ideas and information.
- Ability to set specific goals and monitor work progress effectively.
Nice-to-haves
- Knowledge of computers and the Teller System.
