About the position

The Part Time Teller at United Credit Union is responsible for providing exceptional service to members by performing various transactional duties, including receiving and paying out funds with accuracy. The role involves maintaining accurate transaction records, presenting credit union products and services, and ensuring compliance with policies and procedures. The Teller must work effectively as a team member and communicate well with members to deliver efficient service.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain knowledge of all credit union products and services.
• Perform routine member transactions such as deposits, withdrawals, and loan payments.
• Ensure all member transactions are posted accurately and efficiently.
• Obtain supervisor approval for transactions outside assigned limits.
• Complete Currency Transaction Reports and Suspicious Activity Reports as needed.
• Verify member identification and analyze information for transaction validity.
• Balance cash drawer at the end of the day and resolve any discrepancies.
• Provide information on credit union products and services to members.
• Handle member transactions in person or over the phone, directing them as necessary.
• Cross-sell insurance products offered by the credit union.
• Serve as backup to the Member Services Department.
• Adhere to compliance policies related to BSA, AML, CIP, and CDD.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of cash handling experience.
• 1 year of customer service experience.
• Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Demonstrated ability to cross-sell credit union products and services.
• Basic computer operation skills, including word processing and account processing software.
• Excellent oral and interpersonal communication skills.
