About the position

The Marketing and Communications Office at Penn State's College of Arts and Architecture is seeking a part-time visual content creator to start in the spring semester of 2025. This role is designed for undergraduate and graduate architecture students at Penn State, focusing on developing engaging content for the school's digital platforms and serving as a student ambassador for the Stuckeman social media channels. The position requires up to 12 hours of work per week at a rate of $13 per hour.

Responsibilities

  • Capture and create content for digital platforms/social media channels that reflects life at Penn State as a Stuckeman School architecture student.
  • Edit high-quality video content.
  • Research social/digital content trends that could be leveraged by our school.
  • Participate in brainstorming new digital content ideas.
  • Seek out potential content collaborators including fellow students, faculty members, researchers, and community members.
  • Assist with analyzing content performance.
  • Attend and document school and departmental events, as needed.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled as a second- through fourth-year undergraduate student or second-year or higher graduate-level architecture student at Penn State.
  • Passion for architecture and the design disciplines.
  • Creativity and self-motivation.
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to connect Stuckeman School goals and values to overall content strategy.
  • Experience with video, photography, audio, and/or animation.
  • Understanding of the current social media landscape.
