About the position

The Part-Time Warehouse Associate position involves physically handling merchandise within a warehouse environment. The role requires flexibility in scheduling, with shifts available during weekdays and weekends. Associates are responsible for the accurate and efficient movement of goods, ensuring that all operations meet safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Moves merchandise by hand, hand truck, or forklift equipment to maintain continuous flow of merchandise.
• Unloads and stocks incoming merchandise, picking outgoing merchandise, and loading outbound trailers when needed.
• Checks, verifies, and audits merchandise and enters data into remote data terminal to ensure that ordered merchandise has been received and is undamaged.
• Identifies, separates, labels, and palletizes merchandise to enable relocation within the distribution center.
• Operates a forklift to move and put away merchandise, replenishing pick areas as needed.
• Obtains customer orders and fills merchandise orders by selecting and moving merchandise accordingly.
• Loads outgoing merchandise from conveyor or truck into trailers.
• Reports damages and vendor compliance issues.
• Resolves problems or discrepancies with assistance from the immediate manager.
• Maintains an acceptable level of attendance based on company policy.
• Ensures safety techniques are used in all aspects of daily work responsibilities.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• License/certification in relevant field.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to read and speak English proficiently.
• Basic knowledge of simple math concepts.
• Basic knowledge of and use of computer and computer monitor.
• Basic knowledge of motorized merchandise movement equipment and ability to maintain certification requirements.
• Ability to handle weighted merchandise, typically between 30 lbs. and 70 lbs.
• Ability to stand, stoop, reach, and walk to perform job duties.
• Ability to use narrow aisle equipment to pick outbound and/or stock inbound merchandise.
• Ability to withstand exposure to unfavorable atmospheric conditions or extreme temperatures.
