About the position
Piedmont Protective Services is currently seeking a dedicated and responsible individual for the position of Part-Time Weekend Security Guard at a movie theater located in Indian Land, SC. This role is essential for maintaining the safety and security of the premises during evening hours on weekends. As an unarmed security guard, you will be tasked with performing foot patrols, monitoring the environment, and ensuring that all safety protocols are followed. Your presence will serve as a deterrent to unauthorized access and will help create a secure atmosphere for patrons and staff alike. In this position, you will work independently, donning a uniform that signifies your role as a security officer. You will be responsible for responding to any security incidents that may arise, documenting your observations, and maintaining a visible and professional demeanor at all times. The shifts for this role are specifically scheduled for Friday and Saturday evenings from 6 PM to 11:30 PM, allowing for a focused work environment during peak hours at the theater. The ideal candidate will possess strong customer service skills, as you will be interacting with the public and ensuring their safety. You will also need to be able to handle stressful situations calmly and effectively. This position requires a commitment to safety and a proactive approach to security, making it a vital role within the organization.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the safety of life and property while on post
- Writing hourly reports and completing hourly tours of properties
- Following specific post orders according to each site
Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older for Unarmed Security
- Must be able to pass a background check/criminal history
- Must have a working smartphone and working phone plan
- Must have an active driver's license
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to handle stressful situations
- Must be able to work alone and independently
- Must be able to walk or stand for long periods of time
