About the position

We are seeking Part-Time Non-Commissioned (Unarmed) Security Officers to secure a truck terminal in the north Houston area. The role involves controlling access to the terminal and conducting regular foot patrols to ensure the security of trailers. This position is part of a long-term contract with Aurora Innovation, a leader in self-driving technology, and offers opportunities for advancement as the client expands operations.

Responsibilities

• Control access to a large, fenced lot.
• Conduct outdoor foot patrol tours using a cell phone-based tour system provided by the company.
• Identify and report security breaches, safety hazards, maintenance issues, or unusual/suspicious circumstances.
• Generate various written reports and logs.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Current Level II or Higher Guard Certification.
• Valid driver's license.
• No history of felonies or other serious criminal convictions.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing.
• Ability to maintain strict attendance and punctuality standards.
• Neat and professional appearance.
