About the position

The Work Crew Site Supervisor at the Center for Employment Opportunities is responsible for supervising and training work crews of individuals with recent criminal convictions, helping them secure employment. This role involves creating a supportive work environment, providing on-the-job coaching, and ensuring team member safety while balancing engagement and accountability. The position requires strong organizational skills and a passion for social justice, as the supervisor will play a crucial role in empowering participants to build their skills and knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Support, supervise, and train work crews of 5-10 individuals.
• Create an uplifting work environment that ensures team member safety.
• Provide on-the-job coaching and encourage team members to seize opportunities for building knowledge and skills.
• Comply with company time and attendance processes, ensuring accurate recording of work time and breaks.
• Ensure customers' work orders are completed to a high standard daily.
• Establish and maintain positive staff morale through sound leadership and teamwork.
• Assign job duties to crew members and set reasonable goals for completion.
• Monitor crew members' job performance and productivity, providing feedback and training as needed.
• Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by enforcing standards and procedures.
• Complete necessary daily reporting tasks.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
• Experience in teaching, coaching, mentoring, or motivating youth or groups of adults.
• Strong organizational skills to delegate, prioritize, and manage team time effectively.
• Ability to communicate and resolve conflicts with individuals of varying backgrounds.
• Proven track record of leading teams to achieve success.
• Mechanically inclined with the ability to diagnose issues with equipment.
