About the position

The Part-Time Youth Soccer Coach at Soccer Shots - Houston is responsible for conducting engaging soccer sessions for children aged 2 to 8, focusing on skill development and character building. This role emphasizes creating a fun and inclusive environment while following a structured curriculum. Coaches are expected to manage classes, communicate effectively with families, and maintain safety protocols, all while embodying the positive culture of Soccer Shots.

Responsibilities

• Conduct soccer sessions for children aged 2 to 8 years old.
• Set up and take down the field for each session.
• Encourage character development through positive reinforcement.
• Utilize Soccer Shots' curriculum and early childhood development techniques in sessions.
• Foster a safe and inclusive environment for all participants.
• Communicate effectively with families, caregivers, and teachers.
• Safely manage a class of up to 12 children.
• Maintain equipment and manage class rosters.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Reliable transportation and a valid Driver's License.
• Pass an FBI Background Check.
• Valid Work Visa or Authorization to work in the US.
• Coaching or childhood education experience preferred.
• Must own or have access to a printer.
• Minimum of 20 sessions a week.
• Minimum of 3 mornings and 3 afternoons availability.
• Availability for Saturday mornings from 8am - 12:15pm.
