About the position

The Part-Time Warehouse Assistant at G&G Beverage Distributors is responsible for supporting the Operations Team in a fast-paced environment. This role involves various tasks related to inventory management, driving, and maintaining a clean and safe warehouse atmosphere. The position requires strong interpersonal skills and professionalism, as well as the ability to work effectively with team members and management.

Responsibilities

• Drive non-CDL vehicles for local brewery pickups.
• Count inventory and read pick tickets.
• Load and unload trailers as needed.
• Restock the warehouse and maintain cleanliness.
• Use a forklift for various tasks.
• Repack breakage and seal into correct master cartons.
• Bail plastic and stack empty glass on pallets.
• Crush and bag empty cans.
• Assist the operations department as needed.

Requirements

• Valid Connecticut Driver's license and insurance.
• Valid Medical Card.
• Reliable transportation to and from work.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to lift/carry material up to 170 pounds.
• Forklift certification.
• Effective communication skills.
• High School diploma or GED preferred.

Nice-to-haves

• Prior driving experience.
• Merchandising or stocking experience.
• Sales and customer service experience.
