About the position

The Partner Account Manager for Strategic A&D at Amazon Web Services (AWS) is responsible for leading revenue generation within a major System Integrator account. This role focuses on increasing the adoption of AWS by engaging with internal stakeholders to transform their IT strategies through cloud computing solutions. The position involves developing and managing customer relationships, driving business opportunities, and collaborating with various teams to ensure successful implementation of AWS services.

Responsibilities

  • Lead revenue generation in a division of one of AWS's largest System Integrator accounts.
  • Drive the growth and shape the future of cloud technology in critical government missions.
  • Develop and manage customer relationships to support government missions globally.
  • Establish business and technical relationships with customers and partners.
  • Set strategic sales plans aligned with AWS's direction.
  • Maintain an accurate pipeline and forecast of business opportunities.
  • Identify prospects and communicate specific value propositions.
  • Serve as a key member of the AWS Public Sector team to drive adoption of AWS services.
  • Understand technical requirements and guide product offerings accordingly.
  • Prepare and deliver business reviews to senior management regarding strategies and revenue growth expectations.
  • Manage complex contract negotiations and liaise with the legal group.
  • Accelerate customer adoption and satisfaction.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of full sales cycle, technology sales, or equivalent business development experience.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with sales CRM tools such as Salesforce or similar software.
  • Experience in engineering, computer science, or Management Information Systems (MIS).
  • Experience driving new business in greenfield accounts at the C-suite level.
