About the position

The Partner Account Manager for Strategic Aerospace and Defense at Amazon Web Services (AWS) is responsible for leading revenue generation within a major System Integrator account. This role focuses on increasing the adoption of AWS solutions by engaging with internal stakeholders and driving business and technical relationships to support government missions globally, particularly with the US Department of Defense and National Intelligence communities. The position requires strategic thinking, strong business acumen, and the ability to manage complex contract negotiations while ensuring customer satisfaction and successful adoption of AWS services.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and own revenue generation in a division of one of AWS's largest System Integrator accounts.
  • Drive the growth and shape the future of cloud technology in critical accounts.
  • Develop and manage relationships with customers serving government missions globally.
  • Identify and pursue key cloud-related opportunities and define effective go-to-market strategies.
  • Collaborate with commercial sales, legal, marketing, product, contracts, and executive leadership teams.
  • Establish deep business and technical relationships with customers.
  • Maintain an accurate and robust pipeline and forecast of business opportunities.
  • Identify specific prospects, partners, and channels to approach with tailored value propositions.
  • Prepare and deliver business reviews to senior management regarding strategies for revenue growth.
  • Manage complex contract negotiations and liaise with the legal group.
  • Accelerate customer adoption and satisfaction.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of full sales cycle, technology sales, or equivalent business development experience.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with sales CRM tools such as Salesforce or similar software.
  • Experience in engineering, computer science, or Management Information Systems (MIS).
  • Experience driving new business in greenfield accounts at the C-suite level.
