About the position

The Partner Sales Manager at Amazon Web Services (AWS) is responsible for driving revenue and market share through strategic partnerships with technology and consulting partners. This role involves establishing and maintaining relationships with partners, managing day-to-day interactions, and creating opportunities that enhance AWS services revenue and customer acquisition. The position requires a blend of business acumen and technical knowledge to effectively engage with CXO-level executives and enterprise customers, ultimately supporting AWS's growth in the cloud computing sector.

Responsibilities

  • Drive revenue and market share in a defined territory or industry vertical with multiple account teams and partners.
  • Meet or exceed quarterly revenue targets by helping partners originate and work with AWS and the partner sales teams to close opportunities.
  • Build deep relationships with customers and partners to understand their business and technical needs.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive account/territory plan to achieve revenue and win goals.
  • Work with key internal stakeholders to execute the account plan.
  • Develop long-term strategic relationships with key partners.
  • Create and articulate compelling value propositions around AWS services.
  • Manage and close a pipeline of partner business in your territory.
  • Support partners in developing their solutions through AWS APN programs.
  • Ensure customer and partner satisfaction.
  • Provide technical and architectural resources to assist customers in joint engagements with partners.
  • Drive business development initiatives in partnership with marketing and Go To Market Strategy teams.
  • Prepare and give business reviews to AWS and Partner senior management teams.
  • Manage complex contract negotiations and serve as a liaison to the legal group.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in technical/IT related sales with medium to large software vendors/customers.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working with technology customers and consulting partners.
  • Technology background with cloud technology.
  • AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner certification.
  • Demonstrated ability to work across cross functional teams to deliver large, complex IT solutions.
  • Sales management experience.
