About the position

As a General Manager at SONIC Drive-In, you will lead a team in delivering exceptional food service experiences while managing daily operations. This part-time role involves training staff, ensuring compliance with operational standards, and maintaining a customer-focused environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage, train, monitor, and coach Crew/Team members, Carhops, and Skating Carhops.
• Direct and assign drive-in restaurant employees to meet operational standards.
• Adhere to and monitor employee compliance with the drive-in employee handbook, policies, and practices.
• Perform restaurant opening and/or closing duties.
• Prepare employee work schedules and monitor staffing levels.
• Monitor and maintain restaurant inventory levels and place orders for supplies.
• Complete and maintain all employment-related and payroll records.
• Reinforce a customer service mentality among employees and resolve guest requests.
• Report guest complaints to the immediate supervisor and assist in resolution.
• Interview and hire restaurant crew and management team members.
• Prepare operational reports and develop action plans for financial or sales trends.
• Develop and implement a marketing plan.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of two (2) years of restaurant management experience, preferably in QSR.
• Knowledge of recruiting, interviewing, and selection practices.
• Knowledge of federal and state labor laws and local health regulations.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic accounting and computer skills.
• Ability to follow directions and work autonomously.
• Problem-solving, decision-making, and conflict-resolution skills.
