About the position

This is a fixed-term contract position for 12 months within the Tapestry team at X, which is focused on revolutionizing the electric grid. Tapestry is a moonshot project aimed at making the world's electric grid visible and accessible, ensuring that everyone can access clean, affordable, and reliable energy. The team comprises software engineers, power systems experts, and clean energy enthusiasts who are dedicated to tackling climate change through innovative energy solutions. As a Partnership Operations Analyst, you will play a crucial role in shaping Tapestry's Enterprise partnership program, focusing on operational excellence in partnerships, business development, and strategic operations to maximize growth potential. In this role, you will be responsible for implementing and managing Tapestry's partner development process. This includes defining a comprehensive evaluation framework for existing and new partnerships, communicating the scope of work for partners, and assisting the team in making data-driven decisions. You will also support Business Development by managing the tactical execution of the sales lifecycle and interactions with C-suite executives and decision-makers from large energy companies and government departments globally. Your responsibilities will include organizing inbound communications, coordinating internal and external interactions, capturing insights, tracking engagements, and maintaining meeting materials. This individual contributor role will report to the Head of Innovation Partnerships and will directly influence the team's decision-making processes, helping to shape the future direction of Innovation Partnerships. You will collaborate with various team members across Tapestry, including the Executive Leadership team, Business Development, Partnerships, and Product teams. Your organizational skills and analytical abilities will be essential in interpreting data and insights into actionable recommendations for new partnerships. You will execute initiatives with operational rigor, utilizing customer relationship management (CRM) software, such as Salesforce and Google Apps, to manage interactions throughout the engagement lifecycle. This includes updating profiles, maintaining the pipeline, scheduling meetings, and documenting progress from initial interactions through deal execution. Additionally, you will manage external vendor relationships and broker internal resources to implement capabilities needed to support the team's technical and business goals, including NDA execution and purchase order management.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Education in Business, Economics, Finance, or Communications.
  • 2-5 years of experience in Management Consulting, Sales Operations, Business Development, or Complex Enterprise Partnerships.
  • Experience communicating with and coordinating C-level executives and decision-makers.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to conduct qualitative and quantitative research and analysis.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to multitask.
  • Experience in inbound/outbound prospecting and value-based selling.

Nice-to-haves

  • Passion for Renewable Energy and Start-ups.
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce and experience managing a CRM.
  • Familiarity with Google Apps.
