About the position

SkyWest Airlines, the largest independently owned regional airline, is currently seeking a dedicated Parts Clerk to join our team. This full-time position is essential in supporting our mechanics by maintaining an accurate inventory of parts. As a Parts Clerk, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our operations run smoothly and efficiently. You will be responsible for keeping parts inventory on hand, conducting warehouse and stockroom inventory cycle counts, and utilizing our internal computer program to issue, return, and process parts and tooling from stock. Additionally, you will drive a company vehicle to airport gates for COMAT/AOG and road trips, verify, pull, and prepare shipments and receipts, and perform data entry tasks including emails, inventory counts, and creating requisitions. In this role, you will also operate a forklift to load and unload shipments, maintain the organization of the warehouse and stockrooms, and perform other responsibilities as assigned by your manager. Responsibilities

  • Keep parts inventory on hand to support mechanics.
  • Conduct warehouse/stockroom inventory cycle counts.
  • Utilize internal computer program to issue, return, and process parts/tooling from stock.
  • Drive company vehicle to airport gates for COMAT/AOG and road trips.
  • Verify, pull, and prepare shipments/receipts.
  • Perform data entry including emails, inventory counts, and creating requisitions.
  • Operate forklift to load and unload shipments.
  • Sweep, mop, and maintain organization of the warehouse/stockrooms.
  • Complete other responsibilities as assigned by the manager.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Valid unrestricted state-issued driver's license.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship.
  • Ability to pass a background check.
  • Knowledge of airline parts preferred but not necessary.
  • Team player with the ability to work well with others.
  • Self-motivated and able to work without supervision.
  • Detail-oriented and a quick learner.
  • Basic computer knowledge helpful.
  • Ability to work under pressure and solve problems.
  • Good standing with the company.
