About the position

Elite Equipment is seeking a dedicated and team-oriented Parts Clerk to join our workforce in Midland, TX. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that our customers receive the best service possible by efficiently managing parts and service needs. This position requires a proactive approach to maintaining an orderly and accurate parts inventory, as well as a clear understanding of the software, processes, and procedures involved in the parts business. The Parts Clerk will be responsible for ordering and processing sales orders for parts, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in all transactions. Additionally, the role involves direct interaction with customers, assisting them with their parts and service inquiries, and providing solutions to meet their needs. The Parts Clerk will work under the direction of the parts manager and will be expected to contribute to a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and the sharing of new ideas. A professional appearance and excellent communication skills are essential, as the Parts Clerk will be the face of our parts department. The position requires a commitment to going the extra mile to meet customer expectations and a strong understanding of the heavy-duty truck industry. Candidates must be prepared to handle various responsibilities and adapt to the dynamic nature of the parts business.

Responsibilities

  • Obtain and maintain a clear understanding of software, processes, and procedures related to parts management.
  • Efficiently manage parts inventory and stay ahead of demand for parts and service.
  • Assist customers with all parts and service needs, providing excellent customer service.
  • Maintain an orderly and accurate parts inventory under the direction of the parts manager.
  • Order and process sales orders for parts with accuracy and timeliness.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the parts manager or general management.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 2 years of Heavy Duty Truck experience required.
  • Valid Driver's License with a clean MVR report required; CDL is a plus.
  • Proficient computer skills including email, typing, and ten key.
  • Professional personal appearance and a proactive approach to responsibilities.
  • Excellent communication and people skills.
