About the position

The Parts Clerk/Specialist at 3C's Equipment Inc. is responsible for managing parts inventory, implementing a new parts inventory system, and ensuring efficient warehouse operations. This role requires a focus on customer service and relationship building with vendors and sales representatives, while also overseeing the accuracy of department expenditures and inventory levels.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and control the parts inventory level, ensuring adequate inventory and efficient use of warehouse space.
  • Monitor computer inventory system for high and low usage items to optimize warehouse parts storage.
  • Review department expenditures for accuracy, reconcile with vendor statements, and provide payment authority.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of the retail and wholesale parts market.
  • Establish and foster relationships with outside sales representatives, vendors, and parts suppliers.
  • Review vendor products, determine which lines to carry, and negotiate profit margins.
  • Reconcile parts tickets and order all parts.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in a technical field or comparable work experience; bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 3-5 years of heavy-duty parts sales or related experience with supervisory experience preferred.
  • Management skills including strategic plan development and decision-making abilities.
  • Supervisory skills in coaching, training, and motivating subordinates.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and results-driven.
  • Ability to prioritize and handle numerous tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to work well under pressure while assisting a variety of customers.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Computer, mathematical, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to sit, stand, bend, kneel, stoop, and lift/move up to 50 lbs. regularly.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in heavy equipment operation.
  • Sales experience in a related field.
