About the position
The Parts Counter Person at International Border Trucking is responsible for assisting customers in selecting the required parts in a professional and efficient manner. This role involves providing high-quality customer service, managing inventory, and ensuring that all parts orders are accurate and timely.
Responsibilities
- Assists all customers (retail and shop) in selecting required parts in a friendly, professional, and efficient manner
- Informs customers of companion part requirements, specials, and ensures that the customer is exposed to the full product line
- Answers phone calls, providing price quotes and other information within a timely manner
- Reviews body shop estimates to ensure the parts that are ordered are correct and all pricing is in line with the estimate
- Provides a high level of service to internal and external customers
- Notifies parts manager of out-of-stock parts or shop materials that need immediate attention
- Locates out-of-stock parts from an outside source and submits an emergency order, if necessary
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Six-plus months of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Must have computer proficiency
- Valid driver's license
- Class 8 Commercial Parts: 1 year (Required)

- Flexible schedule - must be available to work some Saturdays
