About the position
The Parts Counter Sales Associate at White & Bradstreet is responsible for assisting customers with their truck parts inquiries and needs, both in person and over the phone. This role involves working closely with the yard crew to locate used parts, ordering new parts, handling sales transactions, and managing inventory procedures. The position requires a dependable individual who can work Monday through Friday with potential for overtime.
Responsibilities
- Assist customers with their truck parts questions and needs both in person and via phone
- Work with the yard crew to find used parts for customers
- Search for and order new parts for customers and on-hand inventory in the computer system
- Handle sales and purchasing transactions
- Contact parts vendors and operate electronic and paper catalogs for price and availability information of truck parts
- Conduct routine inventory procedures, including restocking of products
Requirements
- Dependable and reliable work ethic
- Ability to assist customers effectively
- Experience with sales transactions
- Familiarity with inventory management systems
- Basic computer skills for searching and ordering parts
