About the position

The Parts Counter Sales Representative at Allegiance Trucks is responsible for handling parts order requests from customers through various channels, including telephone, email, and in-person interactions. This role involves utilizing manufacturer and vendor catalogs to locate parts, advising customers on related parts, and ensuring effective communication with the Parts Manager and Service Department regarding inventory and parts availability. The representative plays a crucial role in providing solutions to customer needs and maintaining inventory control practices.

Responsibilities

  • Handle parts order requests via telephone, e-mail, or in-person
  • Utilize manufacturer and vendor catalogs to locate parts for customers, internal and external
  • Advise customers on related parts
  • Follow up on backordered parts, and contact customer with status
  • Ensure that inventory control practices are followed
  • Communicate with Parts Manager on inventory issues
  • Communicate with Service Department regarding parts availability and pricing
  • Provide solutions for the needs of our customers
  • Assist with other projects as needed

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Two (2) years of heavy truck/auto parts or shop experience
  • Mechanical aptitude, desired
  • Customer service skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
