About the position

The Parts Counter Salesperson plays a vital role in assisting customers with their parts needs for vehicles or equipment, ensuring excellent customer service and driving sales. This position requires a strong knowledge of semi truck and trailer parts, as well as the ability to maintain inventory and collaborate with team members to meet customer demands.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers in identifying their parts needs
• Recommend and sell parts and accessories to meet customers' requirements
• Provide accurate product information and technical advice
• Process customer orders and handle transactions at the counter
• Maintain inventory and ensure availability of parts
• Assist in receiving, stocking, and organizing parts in the warehouse
• Collaborate with colleagues and other departments to meet customer needs
• Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues or complaints
• Stay up-to-date with product knowledge and industry trends
• Meet sales targets and contribute to the overall success of the sales team
• Promptly and accurately complete all paperwork and handle tax certificates
• Comfortable working in a warehouse environment

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in sales, preferably in a semi truck parts or an industrial industry
• Strong knowledge of automotive parts and equipment
• Exceptional customer service skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks
• Attention to detail and accuracy
