About the position

The Regional Sales Manager (NMC) at PALFINGER is responsible for expanding and developing sales within the North Mid Central region, focusing on building relationships with distributors and end users, including leasing companies and OEMs. This role aims to enhance profitability and service levels through strategic sales planning and execution, while also representing the company at industry events and meetings.

Responsibilities

  • Expand existing sales and develop new sales in the North Mid Central region.
  • Grow business with leasing companies, fleets, and trailer businesses.
  • Develop and execute sales plans and strategies to improve profitability and service levels.
  • Deliver sales presentations to prospective clients using demo trucks as needed.
  • Generate leads and meet or exceed sales goals.
  • Negotiate contracts with prospective clients.
  • Assist in determining pricing schedules for quotes and promotions.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly sales reports.
  • Analyze sales statistics to determine sales potential and inventory requirements.
  • Manage regional meetings and associations.
  • Attend meetings with vendors and suppliers.
  • Represent the company at trade association meetings.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Business to Business (B2B) Sales.
  • Prior work experience in truck equipment or truck sales is preferred.
  • Proficient in Windows applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
  • Knowledge of marketing strategies, product demonstration, and sales techniques.
  • Understanding of customer service principles and processes.
  • Experience in media production and communication techniques.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Problem-solving skills with logical reasoning abilities.
  • Experience in team collaboration and building.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Experience in negotiating contracts and influencing outcomes.
  • Demonstrated experience in data analysis and report generation.
  • Willingness to travel to various states within the U.S. for customer meetings and trade shows.
