About the position

The Parts Data Entry Clerk at Duncan Trucking LTD is responsible for accurately entering parts and tires into the system by processing vendor invoices and shop work orders. This role involves ensuring that all shop expenses are assigned to the correct accounting codes and managing outside vendor work orders, particularly for chassis tire services. The position requires attention to detail and effective communication between the shop and drivers regarding repairs.

Responsibilities

• Enter internal work orders into TMW Repair Order on a daily basis.
• Verify work order is complete prior to entry, including mechanic hours, part numbers, work description, miles, truck#, and VIN.
• Determine part numbers with supervisor if not recognized by TMW and perform searches prior to requesting a new part number.
• Inform Shop Manager of any price discrepancies.
• File all work orders and outside repairs into truck folders.
• Order all parts for shop and truck sales.
• Enter purchased parts into TMW Stock Receipts daily and stock parts bins.
• Perform quarterly parts inventory to ensure accuracy.
• Handle all core returns and paperwork.
• Communicate between shop and drivers regarding repairs.
• Issue and record PO#'s and provide stock receipts and repair orders to Accounting daily.

Requirements

• Prior experience with data entry, order pulling, and inventory control.
• Ability to work in a shop setting.
• Bilingual in Spanish preferred but not required.
