About the position
The Parts Delivery Driver is responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of equipment and supplies for the dealership, ensuring timely deliveries to customers while maintaining a professional image. This role involves following safety regulations, keeping accurate records, and maintaining the delivery vehicle in good condition.
Responsibilities
- Follow all instructions for pick up, transport, and delivery of equipment and supplies.
- Account for all distance traveled in performing assigned duties.
- Instruct customers on basic operating instructions at the time of delivery.
- Keep records of pickups and deliveries, obtaining necessary signatures and receipts.
- Maintain the vehicle in a safe operating condition and advise supervisors of necessary repairs.
- Obtain appropriate permits pertaining to job duties.
- Prepare all reports and forms required in conjunction with work assignments.
- Follow all safety rules and regulations while performing work assignments.
- Conduct oneself professionally in the presence of customers and the community.
- Participate in company-sponsored training to develop knowledge and skills.
- Maintain positive working relationships with peers and management.
- Perform all other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
- Valid and current medical card.
- Experience operating heavy and/or agricultural equipment.
- Knowledge of manufacturers' loading and unloading procedures for safe transportation of equipment.
- Strong customer service skills.
