About the position
The Basic Parts Fabricator position at Bass Pro Shops involves transforming raw materials such as aluminum and plywood into parts used in welding and assembly processes. The role requires attention to detail in verifying the quality and quantity of work, as well as the ability to operate machinery and follow defined procedures under direct supervision.
Responsibilities
- Verify quality and quantity of work is correct.
- Locate material and form aluminum parts for distribution.
- De-coil aluminum and cut to block size, writing route cards as needed.
- Read router cards to cut specific lengths and stack parts for distribution.
- Count and route the correct number of sheets and distribute cut parts accordingly.
- Place newly cut haul in the haul press and apply desired brakes to the aluminum.
- Monitor the process to ensure proper operation and quality of parts being produced.
- Set up pallet tables and coils for production and transport finished parts to designated areas.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Ability to read a tape measure
- Basic understanding of machinery
