The Parts Inventory Associate II plays a crucial role in our operations, primarily responsible for the receiving, put-away, and shipping of inventory. This position requires maintaining accurate inventory records within the warehouse and system, ensuring a clean and organized work area, and mentoring or training new associates. The role is vital for the smooth functioning of our inventory management and logistics processes, contributing to the overall efficiency of our service delivery. Key responsibilities include receiving inbound inventory, identifying and recording any damages upon receipt, and ensuring that inventory is put away in the appropriate physical locations within the warehouse in a timely and organized manner. The associate will also handle outbound shipping based on transfer requests to branches or service technicians, perform cycle counts as requested, and maintain the inventory space in a clean and organized manner. Additionally, the associate will support warehouse inventory inquiries, analyze and resolve open purchase orders and transfers, and review shipping and receiving reports as necessary. Safety is paramount, and the associate must perform all duties in compliance with government safety regulations and company safety policies. Mentoring or training newer employees in parts inventory may also be part of the role, along with other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Receive inbound inventory and identify and record damages upon receipt.
  • Put away inventory in the appropriate physical location within the warehouse in a timely and organized manner.
  • Ship outbound inventory based on transfer requests to branches or service technicians.
  • Perform cycle counts as requested.
  • Maintain the inventory space in a clean and organized manner.
  • Support warehouse inventory inquiries.
  • Identify, analyze, and resolve open purchase orders and transfers.
  • Review and analyze receiving and shipping reports as necessary.
  • Timely submission of warranty/guarantee on parts, where appropriate.
  • Work in a safe manner and perform all duties within government safety regulations and company safety policies.
  • Mentor or train newer employees working in parts inventory.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent GED.
  • 1-3 years of warehouse (receiving, shipping, inventory) experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Self-directed and able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks in a busy warehouse and delivery environment.
  • Flexible and continuous improvement focused team player.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and understand documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to work flexible hours.
  • Basic computer, smartphone, and tablet skills.
