About the position

The Parts Manager at Crash Champions is responsible for overseeing the parts ordering process, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of parts, and supporting body technicians with parts knowledge. This role is crucial in maintaining the efficiency of the repair process and driving key performance indicators related to parts management.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and complete all parts ordering, ensuring accuracy based on estimates and supplements.
  • Monitor deliveries and track parts status, communicating with vendors as needed.
  • Receive and check in parts, ensuring they match repair orders and are accounted for.
  • Inspect delivered parts for quality and report any damage within two hours of delivery.
  • Return incorrect parts to the vendor immediately.
  • Drive parts-related KPIs, monitoring margins, pending credits, and inventory.
  • Coordinate parts invoicing, ensuring daily posting in the estimating platform and making necessary corrections.
  • Support Body Technicians with parts knowledge and provide reference materials as needed.
  • Lead the Parts Team, mentoring and directing the activities of the Parts Assistant.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Experience in a parts capacity in the automotive industry.
  • Ability to read and understand instructions and work orders.
  • Proficient knowledge and use of estimating software.
