About the position

The Parts Processor role involves cleaning and restoring component parts used in sub-assemblies of process control instrumentation and control valves. The position requires the use of industrial cleaning products, small power tools, and hand tools to ensure parts are maintained in like-new condition. The role emphasizes attention to detail, proper handling of materials, and effective communication with supervisors regarding production issues.

Responsibilities

• Prepare parts for refinishing.
• Inspect the parts to determine if they can be remanufactured.
• Replace inferior or defective parts.
• Clean and restore parts to like-new condition.
• Notify supervisors of production problems.
• Follow directions for proper disassembly of parts.
• Properly use disassembly techniques, tools, and methods to ensure minimal loss of material.
• Handle materials carefully to avoid damage.
• Identify critical components in each series of products.
• Ensure all components are properly identified and labeled after disassembly.
• Utilize automated inventory control system.
• Maintain warehouse organization.
• Purge and liquidate excess/obsolete inventory.
• Maintain proper space management within the warehouse.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
