About the position

The Parts Runner position involves providing essential parts delivery and pickup services for the company, ensuring timely handling of critical local runs that cannot wait for commercial shipping. The role also includes internal support on various projects as needed, maintaining excellent customer relations, and assisting with warehouse operations.

Responsibilities

• Handle daily deliveries and pickups as assigned
• Make runs to branch sites as required
• Maintain parts delivery vehicle
• Handle deliveries or pickups for other departments as requested
• Assist shipping and receiving in putting parts stock away
• Assist parts department with annual inventory as required
• Assist shipping and receiving in maintaining warehouse housekeeping, as required
• Maintain excellent customer relations with accounts visited
• Ensure any paperwork received during deliveries is delivered to appropriate person
• Understand a team concept, and be willing to assist in other areas at direction of management
• Assist shipping and receiving in receiving daily UPS, as needed
• Backup to other areas as needed
• Perform other duties as needed

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Valid Driver License with good driving record
• Knowledge of the area
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Good customer service skills
• Attention to detail
• Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
• Demonstrate customer service orientation
• Demonstrate focus on safety (driving habits and lifting)
• Must pass any customer Safety Tests to enter their facilities
• Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
