About the position

The Part Sales Outfitter role at Bass Pro Shops is a part-time position focused on maintaining and controlling inventory for boat, motor, trailer, and ATV parts. The position involves assisting customers with their purchases and inquiries, ensuring a high level of customer service, and performing various sales and inventory management tasks.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and control parts inventory for boats, motors, trailers, and ATVs.
• Assist customers with inquiries regarding parts, price quotes, and general information.
• Perform part sales transactions over the phone and at the parts counter.
• Safeguard funds received and perform daily till reconciliation procedures.
• Create purchase orders for parts needed for stock or customer requirements.
• Receive and check parts ordered against shipping documents for accuracy.
• Perform data entry of received parts into the IDS inventory tracking system.
• Place received merchandise in designated locations for easy retrieval.
• Verify receipt of payment before shipping special order parts.
• Issue parts to technicians as per work order requirements and track inventory in IDS.
• Verify and complete refund transactions for returned parts or cancellations.
• Ensure returned and warranty parts are sent back to the appropriate vendor for credit.
• Prepare for and conduct required parts inventories as per established schedules.
• Report and reconcile any inventory shortages or variances from physical inventory.
• Maintain a clean and professional work area.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Customer service experience.
• Ability to perform data entry and operate a computer.
• Good phone etiquette and communication skills.
• Ability to calculate discounts and make change.
