About the position

The Parts Service Sales Representative is responsible for marketing and selling parts products within the DFW area, focusing on both existing accounts and new market opportunities. This role involves developing customer relationships, understanding their needs, and providing tailored solutions to enhance customer satisfaction and drive sales.

Responsibilities

  • Market and sell parts products by identifying and developing market opportunities.
  • Manage relationships with customers and service existing accounts.
  • Work closely with Customer Sales and Services Management to develop and implement target account specific objectives, strategies, and action plans.
  • Contact new and existing customers to discuss their needs and company offerings.
  • Quote prices, bid specifications, and maintain records as outlined by management.
  • Emphasize product features based on analyses of customers' needs.
  • Identify prospective customers using business directories and leads from existing clients.
  • Participate in organizations, trade shows, and conferences to generate leads.
  • Answer customer inquiries regarding products, prices, availability, and uses.
  • Monitor customer satisfaction and communicate feedback to management.
  • Collaborate with Parts and Service Departments to introduce customers to additional services.
  • Update customer relationship management system with sales and prospect activity weekly.

Requirements

  • Must live in the area.
  • Specific experience selling or working on brands such as Socage, Elliott, and Terex.
  • Experience with equipment types such as knuckle booms, man lifts, and material handling equipment.
  • 5 years of proven sales experience with parts and/or heavy-duty truck mounted equipment expertise.
  • Valid driver's license is required.
  • Good PC skills in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in heavy equipment sales for 4 years (preferred).
  • Sales experience for 4 years (preferred).
  • Willingness to travel 50% (preferred).
