About the position

The Parts Specialist role is focused on delivering exceptional service to retail and installer customers while supporting store management in various tasks. This position emphasizes customer interaction, product knowledge, and operational efficiency, ensuring a high level of service and satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Follow and promote all company customer service programs.
  • Promptly greet retail/walk-in customers in a friendly manner and assist them in their selection of merchandise.
  • Assist managers and/or installer service specialists in serving professional customers as needed.
  • Complete assigned company training relevant to the position.
  • Provide excellent service to customers calling the store by answering calls according to company policy and accurately quoting prices.
  • Maintain and secure the cash drawer, process transactions, and handle exchanges and returns.
  • Address and resolve customer complaints in a friendly manner.
  • Assist with daily operational tasks including freight receival, stocking shelves, and cleaning.
  • Prepare merchandise returns to be shipped to the distribution center and assist with inventory counts.
  • Operate brake lathe and other store test equipment after training is completed.
  • Perform various in-store services for customers as permitted by law.
  • Occasionally drive a delivery vehicle when business needs dictate.

Requirements

  • Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences.
  • Ability to provide outstanding, friendly, and professional customer service.
  • Must be able to multitask, handling customers on the phone and in the store simultaneously.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with automotive parts and cataloging systems.
  • ASE certification.
  • Fluency in multiple languages, especially Spanish.
