About the position
The Parts Specialist at O'Reilly Auto Parts is responsible for providing exceptional service to retail and installer customers. This role supports store management in various tasks and emphasizes customer service excellence, including greeting customers, assisting with merchandise selection, and handling transactions. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply, highlighting the importance of communication in this position.
Responsibilities
- Follow and promote all company customer service programs.
- Promptly greet retail/walk-in customers and assist them in their selection of merchandise.
- Assist managers and/or installer service specialists in serving professional customers as needed.
- Complete assigned company training relevant to the position.
- Provide excellent service to customers calling the store by answering calls, looking up parts, quoting prices, and recommending items.
- Maintain and secure the cash drawer, process transactions accurately, and handle exchanges and returns.
- Address and resolve customer complaints in a friendly manner.
- Assist with daily operational tasks including freight receival, stocking shelves, and cleaning.
- Operate brake lathe and other store test equipment after training.
- Perform in-store services for customers where allowed by law.
- Occasionally drive a delivery vehicle when business needs dictate.
Requirements
- ASE Certification
- Bilingual Spanish
- Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences
- Ability to provide outstanding, friendly and professional customer service
- Must be able to multitask, handling customers on the phone and in the store simultaneously.
Nice-to-haves
- Familiarity with automotive parts and cataloging
- Experience in automotive sales or service
- Fluency in multiple languages, with Spanish being highly desired.
