About the position

The Parts Specialist at O'Reilly Auto Parts is responsible for providing exceptional customer service to both retail and installer customers. This role involves assisting customers in selecting merchandise, supporting store management, and ensuring a high level of service through various company programs. The position also includes operational tasks such as maintaining the cash drawer, processing transactions, and handling customer complaints.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-level service to retail and installer customers.
• Greet customers promptly and assist them in selecting merchandise.
• Support managers and installer service specialists as needed.
• Complete assigned company training relevant to the position.
• Answer customer calls according to company policy and provide accurate parts information.
• Maintain and secure the cash drawer, process transactions, and make change accurately.
• Process exchanges and returns in accordance with company policies.
• Address and resolve customer complaints in a friendly manner.
• Assist with daily operational tasks including inventory management and stocking shelves.
• Operate store test equipment after training is completed.
• Perform in-store services for customers where allowed by law.
• Drive a delivery vehicle when business needs dictate.

Requirements

• Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences.
• Outstanding, friendly, and professional customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask effectively.

Nice-to-haves

• Familiarity with automotive parts and cataloging systems.
• ASE certification is preferred.
• Fluency in Spanish is highly desired.
