About the position
We are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Parts Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the procurement, inventory control, and logistics of automotive parts. Your expertise in customer service and mechanical knowledge will be essential in ensuring that our clients receive the right parts efficiently and effectively.
Responsibilities
- Manage the procurement of trailer parts, ensuring timely and accurate orders.
- Utilize an order management system to track inventory levels and process orders.
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting clients with their parts inquiries and needs.
- Oversee shipping and receiving operations, ensuring that all parts are delivered on time and in good condition.
- Maintain accurate inventory control records to prevent stock discrepancies.
- Collaborate with the logistics team to ensure efficient movement of parts within the facility.
- Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) for tracking parts usage and maintenance schedules.
- Apply mechanical knowledge to assist customers in selecting the appropriate parts for their trailer repair needs.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a similar role within the automotive or trailer industry is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on client satisfaction.
- Familiarity with order management systems and inventory control processes.
- Knowledge of shipping and receiving procedures.
- Mechanical knowledge related to automotive repair is highly desirable.
- Experience with logistics operations is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
