About the position
The Parts Specialist at O'Reilly Auto Parts is responsible for providing exceptional service to retail and installer customers. This part-time role involves assisting customers with their merchandise selections, supporting store management, and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply, and the position includes various operational tasks to maintain store efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Follow and promote all company customer service programs.
- Promptly greet retail/walk-in customers and assist them in their selection of merchandise.
- Assist managers and/or installer service specialists in serving professional customers as needed.
- Complete assigned company training relevant to the position.
- Provide excellent service to customers calling the store by answering calls, looking up parts, quoting prices, and recommending items.
- Maintain and secure the cash drawer, process transactions accurately, and handle exchanges and returns.
- Address and resolve customer complaints in a friendly manner.
- Assist with daily operational tasks including freight receival, stocking shelves, and cleaning.
- Operate brake lathe and other store test equipment after training.
- Perform various in-store services for customers where allowed by law.
- Occasionally drive a delivery vehicle when business needs dictate.
Requirements
- Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences.
- Ability to provide outstanding, friendly, and professional customer service.
- Must be able to multitask, handling customers on the phone and in the store simultaneously.
Nice-to-haves
- Familiarity with automotive parts and cataloging systems.
- ASE certification.
- Fluency in multiple languages, particularly Spanish.
