About the position

The Parts Warehouse Specialist is responsible for various customer service and stocking duties related to parts sales, receiving, and delivery of parts and accessories. This role is crucial for maintaining the efficient, safe, and profitable operation of the parts department, ensuring that inventory is managed effectively and that customers receive the correct parts in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

• Communicate all freight charges and status of shipments.
• Directly responsible for all incoming parts shipments, including loading and unloading freight trucks.
• Maintain record of all shipments both inbound and outbound.
• Follow all transactional processing procedures using CL Boyd guidelines.
• Use dealership equipment, including forklifts and other resources safely and proficiently.
• Take a proactive approach to inventory control by assisting and/or reporting discrepancies.
• Ensure internal and external customers receive the correct parts in a timely manner.
• Receive, ship, and store parts as needed in accordance with DOT local, state, and federal guidelines.
• Proactively study and stay current on industry and product information.
• Mark and store parts in the warehouse according to a prearranged system and assist with inventory counts.
• Follow all safety rules and regulations while performing work assignments.
• Conduct self in a professional manner in the presence of coworkers, customers, and the community.
• Participate in available company-sponsored training to develop and advance knowledge base and skill set.
• Maintain a positive and professional working relationship with peers, management, and support resources.

Requirements

• Strong computer skills
• Good organizational skills
• Interpersonal skills
• Good with numbers
• Knowledge of parts operating system preferred but not required
• Ability to operate forklift and other warehouse equipment
• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent experience required; college education preferred.
