About the position

Ziegler CAT is seeking a dedicated Warehouse Person to join our team, focusing on shipping, receiving, parts inventory, and assisting walk-in customers. This position is crucial for supporting our growth and requires an individual with a strong work ethic, excellent organizational skills, and a commitment to customer service. The ideal candidate will be responsible for filling and preparing orders for shipment, receiving parts, and managing inventory records. This role also involves addressing discrepancies in parts inventory and determining the appropriate mode of transportation for parts shipment. In addition to these responsibilities, the Warehouse Person will assess the workplace and warehouse environment to ensure compliance with safety standards, load and unload cargo using forklifts, and perform counter sales as needed. The position also includes building hydraulic hoses and maintaining the hose bench, which requires collaboration with team members to ensure efficient operations. This role is deemed safety-sensitive and will require a drug test as part of the pre-employment process. We are looking for someone who is dependable, detail-oriented, and possesses a positive attitude. A high school diploma or GED is required, along with at least two years of warehouse experience. Experience in diesel engines, heavy equipment, agriculture, or automotive fields is a plus. The working conditions may vary between indoor and outdoor settings, and the noise level can be loud at times. Responsibilities

  • Fill and prepare orders for shipment and inventory.
  • Receive parts and backorder parts.
  • Fill orders with materials from stock locations.
  • Help manage bin and parts locations to verify inventory records.
  • Address any discrepancies in parts inventory.
  • Determine the proper mode of transportation for parts shipment.
  • Assess equipment, tools, and environment to ensure workplace and warehouse are free of hazards and in compliance.
  • Load and unload cargo using forklifts.
  • Perform counter sales and answer phones as necessary.
  • Build hydraulic hoses and maintain hose bench.
  • Work collaboratively on a team.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
