About the position
As a Passenger Service Agent at Menzies Aviation, you will play a crucial role in assisting passengers and their property to ensure safe and efficient travel. This part-time position involves direct interaction with customers at ticket counters and gate areas, where you will verify documents, check in luggage, and make announcements. You will also be responsible for maintaining a professional appearance in a company-issued uniform and ensuring compliance with safety and security protocols.
Responsibilities
- Assist passengers at ticket counters for check-in and luggage handling.
- Verify passenger documents in the gate area prior to boarding.
- Make announcements and assist with seat assignments in the gate area.
- Drive and operate small specialized commercial vehicles as needed.
- Perform simple mathematical functions for aircraft weight and balance loading instructions.
- Maintain a safe and secure work environment according to health and safety policies.
- Cross-train in other operational areas as required.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Proficient in speaking, reading, and writing in English.
- Authorization to work in the US is required.
- Valid driver's license with a clear driving record is necessary.
- Computer skills are required for using computer-based systems.
- Ability to lift and move up to 70lbs.
Nice-to-haves
- Previous experience in customer service or airport operations is beneficial but not required.
