About the position

The Team Captain for Horizon Air's Passenger Service group is a leadership role responsible for overseeing and guiding the Passenger Service Agents. This position involves ensuring that the team meets established goals, follows proper procedures, and provides excellent customer service. The Team Captain will also perform hands-on duties as a Passenger Service Agent, contributing to the overall success of the team and enhancing guest experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Passenger Service Agents on shift and ensure the team's success in achieving goals.
  • Assign flights for the day and manage the scheduling of agents on a weekly basis.
  • Ensure Passenger Service Agents follow proper procedures and protocols.
  • Assist with unexpected passenger needs or complaints as they arise.
  • Perform clerical functions and prepare reports as needed.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 6 months of customer service or airline operations experience.
  • Ability to lead, direct, and motivate teams for optimum performance.
  • Strong active listening and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Typing speed of at least 25 WPM.
  • Ability to consistently lift 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time and perform physical tasks such as bending, stooping, and reaching.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematics and communicate effectively in English.
  • High school diploma or equivalent and a minimum age of 18.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Nice-to-haves

  • A minimum of 1 year of customer service or community service experience.
  • Previous leadership experience.
