Responsibilities

• Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, desserts, and baked goods.
• Decorate cakes and pastries with artistic flair, ensuring visual appeal and quality.
• Follow food handling and safety guidelines to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely production of all pastry items.
• Assist in the development of new dessert recipes and menu items.
• Maintain inventory of baking supplies and ingredients, placing orders as necessary.
• Utilize proper knife skills for food preparation and decoration tasks.
• Provide excellent customer service when interacting with guests regarding pastry offerings.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Pastry Cook or similar role in a restaurant or bakery setting.
• Strong knowledge of food production techniques, including baking, decorating, and food safety practices.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
• Excellent knife skills and familiarity with various baking tools and equipment.
• A creative mindset with the ability to innovate dessert presentations.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
• Flexibility to work various shifts as needed, including weekends and holidays.
