Chef David LeFevre has established a unique presence in Manhattan Beach with his eclectic, chef-driven restaurants that emphasize soulful food, engaging service, hand-crafted cocktails, and boutique wine selections. The pastry team plays a crucial role in this culinary vision, producing artisan goods for all three of Chef LeFevre's restaurants: Manhattan Beach Post, Fishing with Dynamite, and The Arthur J. As a Pastry Cook, you will be an integral part of this team, contributing to the creation of high-quality pastries and desserts that reflect the restaurant's commitment to excellence. The ideal candidate for this position will have a minimum of one year of pastry or baking experience in a chef-driven environment. You will be expected to follow specific directions meticulously, demonstrating a self-starter attitude while maintaining a clean and organized workspace. This role requires a passion for soulful cuisine and a dedication to upholding the restaurant's culture. Flexibility in scheduling is preferred, as early morning hours will be necessary to ensure that all pastry items are prepared and ready for service. We are looking for individuals who are not only skilled in their craft but also excited about from-scratch cooking, utilizing fresh produce from local farmers' markets, and embracing mentorship and growth opportunities within the culinary field. Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of pastry/baking experience in a chef-driven concept.
