About the position

The Patcraft Account Manager for LA is responsible for driving sales and managing customer relationships within the Los Angeles market, focusing on the education segment, particularly K-12. This role involves collaborating with architects, designers, flooring contractors, and end-users to select appropriate flooring products that meet design criteria and budget constraints. The Account Manager will manage projects from inception to completion, ensuring effective communication and coordination throughout the process.

Responsibilities

  • Work with architects, designers, flooring contractors, and end-users to select appropriate products for their projects.
  • Travel daily throughout the assigned area to call on existing customers and prospect new customers.
  • Manage projects from inception to completion, including identifying opportunities, product selection, order placement, and installation oversight.
  • Utilize CRM tools such as Salesforce.com to manage customer relationships.
  • Follow up on leads from sources such as Dodge and networking groups.
  • Build relationships with existing and new customers through entertaining and events.
  • Give presentations to architects, designers, and end-users to educate them on the flooring industry.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • At least 1 year of relevant sales experience if no Bachelor's degree is held.
  • Must reside in the Los Angeles area.
  • Strong understanding of the product line and its applications.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience in commercial flooring.
