Fish & Richardson, the premier global intellectual property law firm, is seeking a Patent Paralegal to join its Washington, D.C. team within the fast-paced Practice Systems Department. As a Patent Paralegal, you will play a crucial role in supporting the patent prosecution process by accurately preparing, obtaining, and filing documents related to all phases of patent prosecution. This includes requests for client instructions, assignments, information disclosure statements, and responses to office actions. You will also be responsible for maintaining and managing a prosecution docket, ensuring that all due dates and deadlines are met, and accounting for all hours worked by entering time into the firm's timekeeping system to achieve the billable goal established by practice management. In this role, you will be expected to work collaboratively with other team members, demonstrating a willingness to assist when needed. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential, as well as excellent interpersonal skills. The position requires you to work in the office for a minimum of three days per month for training and collaboration purposes.
