About the position

The PATH Career Coach position at EDSI Solutions involves providing support and assistance to program participants in their journey towards gaining and retaining employment, as well as advancing their careers. This role requires a proactive and organized individual who can manage multiple responsibilities in a dynamic environment, ensuring that participants receive the necessary guidance and resources to overcome challenges and achieve their goals.

Responsibilities

• Provide consistent and comprehensive case management, coaching, and follow-up.
• Conduct individualized assessments of work, family, and personal development needs and opportunities.
• Use a coaching approach to build collaborative relationships with participants to help them advance their defined goals.
• Assist participants in overcoming challenges that hinder their employment and retention.
• Monitor participant activities to meet the state's Work Participation Rate (WPR) requirements.
• Create activity plans that comply with program policies and satisfy participation requirements.
• Adhere to program policies and procedures.
• Conduct regular contacts and meetings with participants, documenting all interactions in case notes.
• Ensure participants follow through with planned activities and address attendance issues.
• Provide referrals to community or social service agencies as needed.
• Assist in preparing project reports related to participation and placement.
• Ensure participant documentation is complete, accurate, and valid.
• Communicate and share information with partner agencies.
• Develop articles that celebrate participant success stories.

Requirements

• Ability to prioritize tasks and document visits and contacts.
• Demonstrated telephone, computer, and written communication skills.
• Ability to maintain flexibility as needs of contract or contractor require.
• College Degree or equivalent experience required.
• Workforce Development experience preferred.
• Customer Service experience preferred.
• A working knowledge of MS Office is required.
• Staff providing career coaching must obtain the Career Development Facilitator (CDF) certificate within one year of hire.
