About the position

The Pathologist (Senior Faculty) position is designed for a board-trained pathologist to provide clinical services primarily in Anatomic Pathology, with oversight responsibilities in Clinical Pathology at an associated clinical laboratory. The role includes serving as a medical director and contributing to leadership discussions regarding local needs and budgetary considerations, ensuring high-quality patient care in a diagnostic setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide diagnostic support in accordance with the Department handbook and the BCM faculty handbook.
• Serve as medical director for the associated clinical laboratory.
• Provide input to the leadership team on local needs and budgetary issues.
• Ensure the highest quality patient care in a diagnostic setting.

Requirements

• PhD degree.
• Board certified or board eligible.
• Good communication skills.
• Willingness to adapt to the digital transformation of the field.
