About the position

The USAID Summer Internship Program is designed to provide interns with substantive work assignments that expose them to the benefits of a Federal career. This internship runs from May 4, 2025, to August 3, 2025, and is open to current students enrolled in accredited educational institutions. Interns will engage in various research projects, writing program memoranda, facilitating meetings, and performing analytical work, while also gaining valuable experience in a federal agency environment.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct research projects related to USAID programs.
  • Write program memoranda and reports.
  • Facilitate meetings and special events.
  • Perform analytical work and contribute to program discussions.
  • Communicate on USAID program issues.

Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Currently enrolled in a qualifying academic program.
  • Minimum GPA of 2.0 for undergraduate programs and 3.0 for graduate programs.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
  • Males born after 12/31/1959 must be registered with the Selective Service.

Nice-to-haves
