As a Patient Access Assistant at CentraCare, you will play a vital role in registering patients across multiple areas within the facility. The Patient Access department in Monticello includes eight unique areas, ranging from the Emergency Department to various Specialty departments. This position requires independent analysis, judgment, and a comprehensive understanding of facility procedures. Your responsibilities will involve obtaining and verifying information to establish billable patient accounts, maintaining patient safety, and enforcing safety protocols as necessary. You will interact directly with patients, register them for appointments, schedule appointments, communicate information to other departments, and confirm insurance details to ensure the accuracy and integrity of processed documents.
