About the position

The incumbent will be responsible for coordinating patient flow, timely processing, maintaining knowledge and deployment of practices used within the department/physician practice/hospital to address patient questions or concerns. Maintaining knowledge of insurance requirements, Baptist Health South Florida (BHSF) pricing, financial assistance options, and overall BHSF Revenue Cycle operations. Practices the BHSF philosophy of service excellence in providing professional, compassionate and friendly service to patients of all ages, families, employees, physicians and community members.

• Address patient questions or concerns effectively.
• Maintain knowledge of insurance requirements and BHSF pricing.
• Provide financial assistance options to patients.
• Implement BHSF Revenue Cycle operations practices.
• Deliver professional and compassionate service to patients and community members.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent (Cert, GED, Trn, Exper).
• Complete and pass the Patient Access training course.
• Ability to work in a high volume, fast-paced work environment.
• Perform basic mathematical calculations accurately.
• Detail-oriented and organized with excellent customer service skills.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Basic knowledge of medical and insurance terminology.
• Experience with computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office, EMR applications).
• Accurate typing skills.
• Knowledge of regulatory guidelines including HIPAA, AHCA, EMTALA, and Medicare compliance guidelines.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish/Creole.
