About the position

The Patient Access Associate at Galloway Endoscopy Center is responsible for coordinating patient flow and ensuring timely processing of patient inquiries. This role involves maintaining knowledge of insurance requirements, pricing, financial assistance options, and overall revenue cycle operations at Baptist Health South Florida. The associate will provide professional, compassionate, and friendly service to patients, families, employees, and community members, embodying the organization's philosophy of service excellence.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient flow and ensure timely processing of patient inquiries.
• Maintain knowledge of insurance requirements and Baptist Health South Florida pricing.
• Provide information on financial assistance options and overall revenue cycle operations.
• Deliver professional, compassionate, and friendly service to patients of all ages and their families.
• Address patient questions or concerns effectively.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish or Creole preferred.
• Experience in customer service, particularly in a healthcare setting.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and EMR systems.
• Strong typing and computer skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Basic knowledge of medical and insurance terminology.
• Experience working in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of regulatory guidelines such as HIPAA, AHCA, EMTALA, and Medicare compliance.
